President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday met with the leaders of the National Assembly over the ongoing #EndSARS protests rocking most states in Nigeria.
Naija News reports that the meeting is currently being held inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Those at the meeting include with the President are the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan; and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
The Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, disclosed this in a message he posted on his Twitter handle, @BashirAhmaad.
“President @MBuhari currently meeting with Senate President, @DrAhmadLawan and Speaker, @femigbaja on the ongoing #EndPoliceBrutality protests,” he wrote.
Ahmad stated that after meeting with President Buhari, Senate President and Gbajabiamila appealed to Nigerian youths to end the #EndPoliceBrutality protests across the country as the government heard and accepted their genuine demands and is working to address all of them.
